Soft corals distributed across the Red Sea coasts are a rich source of diverse and bioactive natural products. Chemical probing of the Red Sea soft coral led to isolation and structural characterization of an undescribed sesquiterpenoid, litoarbolide (), along with 14 previously reported metabolites (). The chemical structures of the isolates were assigned based on NMR as well as high resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS) data.

The chemical structures of sarcoroseolides - were elucidated by extensive 1 D and 2 D NMR as well as HR-ESIMS spectroscopic data. Moreover, the geometric and absolute configurations were assigned by the modified Mosher's method and/or NOESY experiments.

Crystal structure analysis of shows a strong π···π stacking interaction between the electron-deficient pentafluorophenyl ring and electron-rich naphthyl ring. The gelling solvent situated in the "molecular pocket" stitches the gelators through weak H-bonding interactions to facilitate the formation of an organogel.

Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted between October 2016 and April 2017 at the Oman Medical College (OMC), Sohar, Oman. A total of 737 medical undergraduate students and interns from the OMC and College of Medicine & Health Sciences of Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, Oman, were invited to complete the DREEM questionnaire in the form of an online survey.
Introduction: Low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) prophylaxis has been recommended for morbidly obese pregnant women (>40kg/m(2)). There is very little data on the anticoagulant effects of LMWH in this group. We investigated two different dosing regimens; fixed dose and weight-adjusted dose on the anticoagulant effects of the LMWH tinzaparin used for thromboprophylaxis in obese pregnant women.
