Attitudes, Self-Confidence, and Knowledge of Primary Care Professionals towards School Bullying.

Attitudes, practices, and knowledge about bullying were evaluated in a sample of 274 primary care professionals, including general practitioners, pediatricians, community, pediatric and school nurses, and residents of these specialties. This study was based on a mixed method with a parallel convergent design without dominance between phases, data were collected concurrently, and conversion of the results from both phases was carried out during data interpretation. The quantitative phase had a cross-sectional observational design, using The Healthcare Provider's Practices, Attitudes, Self-confidence, and Knowledge Regarding Bullying Questionnaire as an instrument.

Cross-Cultural Validation of the Healthcare Provider's Practices, Attitudes, Self-Confidence, and Knowledge Regarding Bullying Questionnaire.

How can we know the reality of the context of bullying in the field of primary health care? The aim of this study is to obtain a validated and reliable tool that allows measurement of the involvement of primary care professionals in addressing bullying through a systematic content validation process. A cross-cultural validation of the Healthcare Provider's Practices, Attitudes, Self-Confidence, and Knowledge Regarding Bullying Questionnaire was conducted for the Spanish perspective. This involved linguistic adaptation through translation-back-translation, content validity index (CVI) analysis, construct validity using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and internal consistency (Cronbach's α).

Assessment of high fidelity simulation with actors in palliative care in nursing students: a mixed methods study.

Objective: The most effective training methods are experiential, including those focused on experiences and emotions. Clinical simulation, especially high-fidelity simulation, is one of the most effective methodologies for the acquisition of competencies in care like palliative care. The simulation with actors can train future healthcare science professionals: in technical, intellectual, or interpersonal skills.

Background: The audience response systems are being implemented to support active learning in nursing degree programs. The benefits of audience response systems have been studied in lecture-based classes and seminars, but their advantages or inconveniences when included in the debriefing phase of a high-fidelity clinical simulation have not been explored. The study aim was to discover student´s experience about using of interactive questions during debriefing, and the self-perceived effects on attention, participation and motivation.

Attitudes and Beliefs of Mental Health Professionals towards Trans People: A Systematic Review of the Literature.

A systematic review was conducted to assess and synthesize recent research on mental health professionals' attitudes towards trans people. The main objectives of our research were (a) to identify, synthesize, and analyze the scientific evidence available so far about the attitudes of mental health professionals towards the trans community, and (b) to determine the factors related to these professionals' attitudes, paying special attention to psychosocial and cultural aspects. A systematic search was carried out in the following electronic databases: Pubmed, Web of Science, PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, Gender Studies Database, and Lilacs.

WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE SUBJECT?: The trans community perceives barriers to the mental health services in the form of professionals' transphobia, lack of knowledge, and cultural sensitivity in healthcare. The attitudes of health professionals are mediated by their social context, which can determine their behaviour or attitude towards users. WHAT DOES THE ARTICLE ADD TO EXISTING KNOWLEDGE?: The attitudes of mental health professionals towards trans people are related to variables such as the professional's age, gender, political ideology and religious beliefs.

'It's always difficult for women': an analysis of the life stories of sub-Saharan migrant women.

The aim of this study was to understand the perspectives of female residents of Spain from West Africa in terms of the factors that condition their lives. Pierre Bourdieu's theory and the model of intersectionality formed the framework we used to qualitatively analyse the life stories of these women, which was complemented with life lines. The results showed us that traditional practices such as female genital mutilation and forced marriage are part of the social habitus of this group and they relate to each other through the several types of violence that occurs throughout their lives.

Development and psychometric testing of the non-technical skills scale in medical and surgical hospital units for nursing students.

Objective: To develop and validate a tool to assess the non-technical skills of medical and surgical hospital units undergraduate nursing students.

Background: In the area of healthcare, non-technical skills complement technical ones, and contribute to patient safety. High-fidelity simulation is an ideal resource for working on these skills.

Influence of Laboring People's Mobility and Positional Changes on Birth Outcomes in Low-Dose Epidural Analgesia Labor: A Systematic Review with Meta-Analysis.

Introduction: Freedom of movement has been identified as a key issue for pregnant individuals during the birthing process, even if they opt for epidural analgesia, which has relegated people to more static positions during birth for many years. The aims of this systematic review were to evaluate the influence of mobility and positional changes on perinatal and neonatal outcomes in people in labor with epidural analgesia, describe the range of movement interventions used during the first and second stage of labor, and describe the level of motor blockade among people with low-dose epidural analgesia.

Methods: Bibliographic databases (Web of Science, Cochrane, CINAHL) were consulted from December 2020 to January 2021.

However, there is a lack of instruments that could be used for its analysis in the hospital care environment in the Spanish context. Violence in Dating Relationships: Validation of the CADRI Questionnaire in a Young Adult Population.

Unlabelled: Dating violence in the young adult population is reaching alarming levels. However, the instruments used to measure it and their results are still heterogeneous. The main aim of this study was to validate the Conflict in Adolescent Dating Relationships Inventory questionnaire for a young adult Spanish university population aged between 19 and 25 years old, and to describe the types of violence perpetrated and suffered.

Obstetric Complications in Women from Sub-Saharan Africa-A Cross-Sectional Study.

Aim: The aim of this study was to identify and compare birthing complications in women originating from countries where they are at risk (may become victims) of FGM with those of Spanish women, all having given birth from 2012 to 2015 at the "Virgen de la Arrixaca" University Clinical Hospital in Murcia, Spain.

Methods: A transversal, observational, quantitative study was carried out, retrospectively, comparing 245 sub-Saharan women originating from countries where FGM is practiced with 490 Spanish women, in terms of obstetric complications. Data collection was performed via electronic clinical records.

Female Genital Mutilation as a Social Norm: Examining the Beliefs and Attitudes of Women in This Diaspora.

In this article, we explore the beliefs, values and attitudes about female genital mutilation in the diaspora of sub-Saharan women and how the migration process has influenced these beliefs. Our qualitative analysis of the life stories and lifelines of 10 women in the sub-Saharan diaspora in light of the Social Convention Theory indicated that making public statements about the topic is complex and that the taboo permeating the practice remains intact even outside of Africa. Furthermore, we discovered that, in our context, this practice was not a requirement and did not improve the chances of marriage, with female behaviours considered 'appropriate' instead gaining value.

Telephone-Based Structured Communication Simulation Program for the Follow-Up of COVID-19 Cases and Contacts in Primary Care.

This type of consultation was mainly a challenge for the primary care teams, who had to assume the greatest load of care provision.

Disruptive Behavior at Hospitals and Factors Associated to Safer Care: A Systematic Review.

Disruptive behavior creates a dysfunctional culture that has a negative impact on work relations and influences the quality of care and safety of the patient. The objective of the present work is to provide the best methodological quality scientific evidence available on disruptive behavior at a hospital, the aspect associated with the safety of the patient, and its impact on quality of care. For this, we included studies that addressed the prevalence of disruptive behaviors observed in the area of hospital health and its professionals.

Factors contributing to the perpetuation and eradication of female genital mutilation/cutting in sub-Saharan women living in Spain.

Objective: Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) is one of the most widespread traditional practices harmful to the health of women and girls in the world. Its spread to the West highlights the need to establish preventive actions in European countries taking into account the affected population. That is why this study is aimed at finding out the elements that support the continuation of FGM/C and those that promote the change of attitudes and fight against FGM / C from the perspective of the sub-Saharan women themselves who reside in Spain.

Improving learning in the management of gender violence. Educational impact of a training program with reflective analysis of dramatized video problems in postgraduate nurses.

Background: Most gender-based violence victims who sought help in Spain did so through health services. Training on gender-based violence with active learning methodologies promotes the management of knowledge, reflection, and adaptation to change. Nurses, along with an educator, can construct knowledge with the same strategies they will use professionally.
