The clinical implication of clarithromycin (CLT) is compromised owing to its poor solubility and, subsequently, bioavailability, unpalatable taste, rapid metabolism, short half-life, frequent dosing, and adverse effects. The present investigation provides an innovative sustained-release oral drug delivery strategy that tackles these challenges. Accordingly, CLT was loaded into a cubosome, a vesicular system with a bicontinuous cubic structure that promotes solubility and bioavailability, provides a sustained release system combating short half-life and adverse effects, masks unpleasant taste, and protects the drug from destruction in gastrointestinal tract (GIT).

Introduction: The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of low-power thulium (30 W) and the duration necessary to eliminate adenomas at the level of the surgical capsule, as well as its impact on postoperative urinary and sexual function.

Material And Methods: Patients with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), who had ThuLEP between December 2019 and March 2022 and had a prostate size >80 mL and had not responded to the medication therapy, were included. The prostate size, prostate-specific antigen (PSA), enucleation and morcellation times, postoperative International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), and International Index of Erectile Function-5 (IEFF-5) records at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months were among the information gathered.

The present study investigated the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in 14 Egyptian mango specimens collected from three different regions and of different cultivars (cvs). VOCs were extracted via solid-phase microextraction, followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis. The results obtained for sesquiterpene hydrocarbons' qualitative abundance were represented by 28 peaks, whereas monoterpene hydrocarbons amounted for the highest levels in most of the mango cvs.

Whereas numerous studies have examined roads as anthropogenic stressors in birds and mammals, comparatively few studies have been undertaken on reptiles. We investigated plasma corticosterone (CORT) levels at baseline and following 30min of restraint stress in free-ranging copperhead snakes (Agkistrodon contortrix) captured within the forest interior or while in contact with public roads.
