Medial meniscal ramp injury has gained the attention of orthopaedic surgeons in recent years. It consists of a tear of the peripheral insertion of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus. Its prevalence in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction varies between 9% and 40% according to different studies.

(1) : The incidence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ruptures in children and adolescents has considerably increased during the last decades due to higher levels of competitive athletic activity, and early sport specialization and professionalization. Contemporary ACL reconstruction techniques have recently been subject to renewed interest in this population. The objective of this study is to report the short- and mid-term results of our physis-sparing ACL reconstruction technique using an "over the top" technique associated with a modified Lemaire procedure.

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears are one of the most frequent injuries in growing children, and they are often associated with other injuries such as meniscal and chondral injuries. In the past, treatment of ACL tears in growing patients relied on activity modification and bracing. However, surgical treatment has prevailed over conservative treatment in recent years.

Purpose: To compare the outcomes of arthroscopic anterior Bankart repair with and without associated postero-inferior capsulolabral repair as treatment of anterior glenohumeral instabiliy at minimun 10 year follow-up.

Methods: A retrospective comparative study including patients who underwent arthroscopic anterior Bankart repair to treat anterior glenohumeral instability with glenoid bone-loss < 15% between January 2000 and February 2010 was performed. Outcomes were reported as recurrence rate, type of recurrence (dislocation or subluxation), need for revision surgery, range of motion, complications, and functional status.

Objectives: To analyze the effect of beta-blockers on the risk of aseptic loosening (AL) in Total Hip (THA) or Knee (TKA) Arthroplasty.

Methods: A nested case-control study was conducted. Cases were patients who underwent revision surgery for THA or TKA due to AL.

Background: Choosing between total hip replacement (THR) and partial hip replacement (PHR) for patients with intracapsular hip fractures is often based on subjective factors. Predicting the survival of these patients and risk of surgical re-intervention is essential to select the most adequate implant.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study on mortality of patients over 70 years with intracapsular hip fractures who were treated between January 2010 and December 2013, with either PHR or THR.

The most frequent postoperative complications after an ankle fracture are usually skin related. We present the results of a retrospective study of 112 patients with ankle fracture who had undergone open reduction and internal fixation from January 2014 to December 2014. The following features were analyzed: patient comorbidities, fracture type, the presence of an open fracture or fracture-dislocation, timing and duration of surgery, preoperative glucose level, and short-term complications (i.

Background: Elastofibroma dorsi (ED) is a benign soft tissue tumor that classically presents as an ill-defined mass at the inferior pole of the scapula. Several studies have indicated the benefits of using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to identify ED. In this study, we calculate the sensitivity and positive predictive value (PPV) of MRI in the diagnosis of ED using histopathology as the gold standard diagnostic method.
