Background: In the configuration of the teacher profile, the way in which the teacher represents his professional function and the way and intensity in which he feels challenged by others plays a decisive role.

Objective: To know the predominant type of profile in teachers who attend courses at the Educational Research and Teacher Training Center from the National Medical Center Siglo XXI (NMC SXXI).

Material And Methods: Cross-sectional study in professors who attended the aforementioned center, where the Questionnaire for the Assessment of Teaching Methodology was applied to know if the teaching profile was focused on teaching or learning.
