Background & Aims: Malnutrition, a significant problem in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), is linked to lower health-related quality of life, longer and more frequent hospital admissions, worse functional capacity, and higher levels of morbidity. However, the extent of its impact on mortality is poorly elucidated. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to investigate the impact of malnutrition on mortality among CKD patients on dialysis.

Assessment of Health-Related Quality of Life in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients: A Hospital-Based Cross-Sectional Study.

Health-related quality of life is rapidly becoming recognized as an important indicator of how a disease affects patient lives and for evaluating the quality of care, especially for chronic conditions such as chronic kidney disease (CKD). This study is an attempt to assess the quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease at MMIMSR and also identify characteristics that may be associated with their worsening quality of life. This cross-sectional investigation was conducted at the in-patient department (IPD) of the MMIMSR hospital.

Background: Adenine phosphoribosyl transferase (APRT) deficiency has great implications on graft survival in kidney transplant patients. This systematic review investigated the diagnostic pattern, treatment approach, and kidney transplant outcomes among kidney transplant patients with adenine phosphoribosyl transferase deficiency.

Material And Methods: Articles reporting the APRT enzyme deficiency and kidney allograft dysfunction were retrieved from PubMed/Medline, ScienceDirect, Cochrane library and Google scholar databases.

Predictors of cardiomyopathy in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus with and without cardiovascular complications: A cross-sectional study.

Aim: This study was aimed to evaluate the cardiomyopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) who live with or without cardiovascular complications by estimating different cardiac biomarkers.

Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled 125 participants including 25 healthy volunteers and 100 T2DM patients. After meeting all inclusion criteria, the participants were categorized into five groups (N = 25 in each) as; healthy volunteers (I), T2DM (II), T2DM with hypertension (III), T2DM with dyslipidemia (IV), T2DM with hypertension and dyslipidemia (V).
