[Emergency radiation study in thoracoabdominal gunshot wounds].

The paper considers the main issues of a primary emergency radiology in thoracic and abdominal gunshot injury proceeding from some practical experience gained in examining and surgically treating 271 victims with this injury. It defines specific indications to examine either anatomic region and expediency of applying various radiation techniques and procedures. Recommendations are given on the optimum scope of radiology to solve different diagnostic problems.

[Possibilities of early roentgenologic diagnosis of surgical infection of soft tissues].

Findings of clinico-roentgenological examinations of 23 patients with an early stage of the surgical infection of soft tissues (necrotic cellulitis, fasciitis) developing without gas formation are described. Typical roentgenological symptoms were found. It was established that roentgenological symptoms often leave behind the wide clinical picture.

[Differential x-ray diagnosis of delimited pneumosclerosis with central lung cancer].

A comparative study of peculiar features of X-ray picture of various forms of focal pneumosclerosis (203 cases) and central cancer of lung (150 cases) was conducted. Some characteristic peculiarities sufficient for reliable differentiation between these pathological processes were established. Unlike cancer, pneumosclerosis is characterized by rugged deformed peribronchial, perivascular fibrous cords, bronchial deformation and local bronchitis.
