Primary cutaneous aspergillosis caused by Aspergillus tamarii in a premature infant with extremely low birthweight: A case report with short review.

Primary cutaneous aspergillosis is a rare, life-threatening fungal infection in premature infants. We report a case of primary cutaneous aspergillosis caused by Aspergillus tamarii in an extremely low birthweight infant. The infant was delivered by cesarean section with complications from an intrauterine infection, brain intraventricular hemorrhage, tension pneumothorax and cardiac tamponade.

The first reported case of spotted fever in Fukui Prefecture, the northern part of central Japan.

A 53-year-old man visited Mt. Arashima-dake in Fukui Prefecture, and was infested by a tick-like organism. He visited a local clinic on July 12, 2004, complaining of high fever, general fatigue and rash.
