Objective: To identify the learning needs and the orientations received by patients in the preoperative period of coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG).
Method: Descriptive study, with a qualitative approach. Data collection took place from January to April 2021, through interviews carried out with 13 pre-operative patients admitted to the cardiovascular unit of a university hospital in Northeastern Brazil.
Introduction: The adaptation of people with ostomies may be associated with and affected by sociodemographic and clinical factors. The present study aimed to investigate the association between the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics and the adaptation of people with an intestinal stoma.
Method: An analytical study, carried out through an interview with 200 patients with ostomy for five months.
Objective: To understand Family Nurse Practitioners' practice, educational process and policy in the United States.
Method: This is an exploratory, quantitative and qualitative study, developed in 2019 based on clinical observations and interviews with seven Family Nurse Practitioners in the state of New York. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed by the researcher through the observations made and also by the Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires software.
Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the distance education course in family health in the knowledge of physicians from the Mais Médicos program.
Method: This is a quantitative, quasi-experimental study, without a pretest and posttest control group, carried out from August 2019 to September 2021. In all modules, physicians responded to a pretest and posttest to verify their knowledge of the subject.

Method: Cross-sectional and analytical study conducted with people with intestinal stoma. An instrument was used for sociodemographic and clinical characterization: COH-QOL-OQ, validated in Brazil.
Objective: to validate an educational booklet for people with intestinal stoma as a technological resource in the teaching of self-care.
Method: a methodological research for the construction and validation of an educational booklet by nine expert judges and 25 people with stomas. The agreement index of at least 80% was considered to guarantee the validation of the material.
Objective: To verify the accuracy of the defining characteristics of the situational low self-esteem nursing diagnosis in people with an ostomy.
Method: A cross-sectional and descriptive study developed in two stages. The first stage was performed with 90 people with an ostomy, and a descriptive analysis of the collected data was performed.
