Customized implants have simplified surgical procedures and have improved patient outcome in craniomaxillofacial surgery. Traditionally, patient-specific data is gathered by conventional computed tomography (CT). However, cone-beam CT (CBCT) can generate a 3D reconstruction of the area of interest with a lower dose of radiation at reduced cost.
