Dermoscopic criteria and basal cell carcinoma.

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is nowadays the most frequent skin cancer in the fair-skinned population. Clinical suspicion for BCC diagnosis can be easy in advance cases, but it sometimes sets a real challenge wherein dermoscopy has proven to be a useful tool. Dermoscopy is a non-invasive diagnostic technique that improves the clinical diagnosis of pigmented and non-pigmented BCC representing a link between macroscopic clinical dermatology and microscopic dermatopathology.
