Cancer during pregnancy: from the diagnosis to the repercussions on the family experience of maternity.

Objective: To investigate how the diagnosis of cancer during pregnancy occurred and assess its repercussions on the family experience of maternity.

Method: Qualitative research, based on Symbolic Interactionism and conducted according to the Grounded Theory method. Twelve women diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy and 19 of their family members participated in the study.

Family experience living with advanced neoplasm: a glance at the rural population.

Objectives: to understand the experience of rural families living with advanced cancer, from Family Management Style Framework's perspective.

Methods: a qualitative research conducted in seven cities of the northern of state of Rio Grande do Sul in homes of 11 families (27 people). Data collection took place in 2014, using the genogram and narrative interview.

Policies of attention to the elderly according to the voice of the municipal managers of health.

Objective: To analyze the understanding of municipal managers of health about public policies destined to the elderly population and the way they are effected in the city.

Method: Qualitative study, developed with 14 municipal managers of health. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview and analyzed according the precepts of content analysis.

The experience of rural families who remain in halfway houses during cancer treatment.

Objective: to understand the experience of rural families who remain in halfway houses during the cancer treatment of an adult family member.

Methods: qualitative research based on Symbolic Interaction and narrative research. Seven rural families participated in the study, 14 people staying in halfway houses in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

[Prenatal care from puerperal women's point of view: from medicalization to the fragmentation of care].

This qualitative and exploratory-descriptive study aimed to reveal the perceptions of puerperal women about prenatal service care. The data collected through semi-structured interviews were submitted to thematic analysis and consisted of the opinions of eight puerperal women. The access, booking of consultations and provision of priority services in case of complications were highlighted as qualifiers of the prenatal care.

[Sexuality and breastfeeding: concepts and approaches of primary health care nurses].

The objective of this study is to identify the primary health care nurses' concepts about sexuality, and how this theme is integrated within the health care practices of these professionals when working with breastfeeding women. This qualitative, exploratory and descriptive study was performed with eight nurses from three primary health care units in a city in the north region of Rio Grande do Sul state. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews.

[Mental health actions in the north of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil].

The objective this study is to describe the actions and intervention projects in mental health in the health services of the cities that are part of Rio Grande do Sul's 15th Regional Health Coordinating Body (15a Coordenadoria Regional de Saúde). This is an exploratory, descriptive and qualitative research. A questionnaire was applied to health professionals and managers who were part of regional mental health forums.

[Weaning experiences among women from the same family].

This work is a case study that aimed to acknowledge the reasons that persuade women-mothers from a same family to wean their children, and identify the feelings that accompany these women during this process. A semi-structured interview was used for data collection, and the analysis was done using Minayo's (1993) methodological orientations. It was concluded that weaning takes place due to various reasons such as: a new pregnancy, child's age, mother's or child's disease, and breast refusal by the child.
