This was a retrospective study, which aimed to describe the profile of nursing diagnoses of 31 patients starting hemodialysis treatment in a hemodialysis clinic in the South Zone of São Paulo. The survey was conducted from patients' records. The data used included: patient identification, underlying disease, data from physical examination notes and multidisciplinary evaluations.

This study aimed at performing an update about the different methods of intensive neurological monitoring and establish relations with the nursing work. The impact of the supplement and electronics equipment renewal of vital support for the critical patient is a concrete fact, and must make the nursing team adapted with the rhythm of new technology in service of patient's health.

A correlational study was carried out with 303 nursing students from a private nursing school in the city of São Paulo, SP, Brazil. The study aimed at establishing correlation among risk factors for Coronary Heart Disease. Isolated risk factor of major relevance was sedentary lifestyle (80,2%).

This is a non-structured bibliographic review that considered current publications having as basis the publications of the Brazilian Organ Transplant Association and of the Brazilian Intensive Medicine Association. Results are organized according to the following structure: ethical issues related to organ and tissue removal, physiological repercussions of brain death (BD), clinical and technological signs of BD, and nursing assistance in the physiological maintenance of potential organ donors.

Data source was based on LILACS bibliographical database using the search expression "hypertrophic cardiomiopathy" and "nursing care". The HCM is a disease that appears from cromossomic alterations that causes hypertrophy of the left ventricule and can cause heart failure, functional class III and IV.

This study aimed at presenting and comparing geometrical and traditional technique for intramuscular injection in the ventrogluteal area. This is a quasi-experimental study of non-equivalent control group type, carried out with anatomical parts of corpses to verify the precision of function between traditional delimitation using hand as reference and the geometrical model which was constituted by tracing imaginary lines across bone structures of the hip, making a configuration of a triangle whose barycenter points the punction site. The study demonstrated that the punction site delimited by the geometrical technique keeped proportion of the envolved structures, and matched with the muscular womb of the ventrogluteal area in 100% of punctions.
