- The study aimed to assess the age and stage of breast cancer in patients at a tertiary care center in Karachi, Pakistan.
- A review of biopsy-proven breast cancer cases from 1994 to 2016 showed that the most common age for diagnosis was in the 30s, with nearly half of the cases diagnosed at stage 2 and less than 4% at stage 1.
- The findings indicate that breast cancer tends to be diagnosed at a younger age and more advanced stage in Pakistan compared to Western countries.
