- This study assessed the role of serum pancreas-specific lipase (Spec cPL) levels in puppies with canine parvovirus (CPV) enteritis to identify acute pancreatitis (AP).
- Out of 35 puppies, 48.6% had elevated Spec cPL, and they also showed higher serum lipase activity compared to those with normal levels.
- Despite these findings, increased Spec cPL did not significantly affect the disease progression, hospitalization duration, or overall outcomes in affected dogs.
