The current research focused on the synthesis of two series of pyrazole derivatives and evaluation of their insecticidal effectiveness. In the first series, seven pyrazole Schiff bases 3a-g were successfully synthesized with yields (79-95%) by condensing phenylfuran-2-carbaldehyde with substituted pyrazole rings. In the second series, eleven amino acid-pyrazole conjugates 6a-k were synthesized utilizing acetic acid, sulfuric acid, morpholine, and EDC.

Carbazoles are nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocycles, having widespread applications in the field of photovoltaics. Carbazole-based photosensitizers have tunable features for absorption on semi-conductor (tellurium dioxide or zinc oxide) layers to create sufficient push-pull force in the conversion of sunlight into electrical energy, thus presenting as promising heterocyclic donor candidates to be used in dye-sensitized solar cells. The solar sector is shifting towards lead-free, inorganic cubic halide perovskites due to their superior structural, electronic, and optoelectronic properties. This study uses density functional theory (DFT) to examine the structural, electronic, and optical properties of XSnBr (X = Cs, Rb, K, Na) and assesses their photovoltaic performance through the Solar Cell Capacitance Simulator - One Dimensional (SCAPS-1D). The results show each material has a direct band gap at the Γ-point, low optical losses, and high absorption, making them promising for solar and optoelectronic applications.

Here we investigated the effects of Ce and Mo doping on hydrothermally synthesized bismuth vanadate BiVO nanoparticles (NPs). The existence of monoclinic scheelite and tetragonal zircon phases of NPs was validated from Rietveld refinement of the powdered X-ray diffraction, room temperature Raman, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The co-doping of Bi and V sites with respective Ce and Mo dopants in a mixed tetragonal zircon and monoclinic scheelite phases of BiVO lattice was corroborated from high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

The Yamaguchi reagent, based on 2,4,6-trichlorobenzoyl chloride (TCBC) and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), is an efficient tool for conducting the intermolecular (esterification) reaction between an acid and an alcohol in the presence of a suitable base (EtN or PrNEt) and solvent (THF, DCM, or toluene). The Yamaguchi protocol is renowned for its ability to efficiently produce a diverse array of functionalized esters, promoting high yields, regioselectivity, and easy handling under mild conditions with short reaction times.
