An international research collaboration answered, "Can equity in perinatal health for migrant women be measured for comparison across countries?" In nine countries, perinatal databases were assessed for the availability of equity indicators. Equity data were also sought from women and health records. Optimal sources of data differed depending on the migrant perinatal health equity indicator.

The purpose of this study was to examine the experiences on mothers with regard to the breastfeeding support and management provided by healthcare professionals on an acute care postpartum unit in a multiethnic obstetrical referral center in Montreal, Canada. The study survey was largely based on the UNICEF/World Health Organization's (1998) ten steps to successful breastfeeding. The convenience sample included 60 recently-delivered mothers.
