Case Presentation: A 45-year-old woman with no medical history who presented gait instability that appears suddenly and evolves rapidly in two weeks, causing frequent falls. Neurological examination revealed an inability to walk due to severe ataxia, accompanied by global hypotonia, appendicular dysmetria, opsoclonus and dysarthria.
Amblyopia detection is important to ensure proper visual development and avoid permanent decrease of visual acuity. This condition does not produce symptoms, so it is difficult to diagnose if a vision problem actually exists.
