Methods: Descriptive cumulative study of the results of campaigns from Global Diabetes Day, in 2014, 2016-2018, 2020 and 2021.

Background: This study evaluated the cost-effectiveness of an intervention based on a training course for community pharmacists and a smoking cessation service (CESAR©), using limited societal and the health provider perspectives.

Methods: Non-randomized controlled trial of 12-months' follow-up. Spanish community pharmacists who were previously trained with CESAR© formed the intervention group (n = 102), and control group delivered usual care (n = 80).

Community pharmacy (CF) is daily confronted with situations that prevent the proper dispensing of medication, putting at risk the continuity of treatment by patients, which causes medication-related problems (DRPs). In this pilot study, carried out in the Principality of Asturias, the aim was to quantify the number of incidents of this type related to those aspects of the prescription that could be easily corrected by the community pharmacist through simple interventions at the time of dispensing. It was carried out in ten pharmacies in this autonomous community during normal opening hours over fifteen working days.
