Graphite has recently gained scientific and industrial attention due to its high electrical conductivity. In the current endeavor, a new way to fabricate novel and multifunctional nanocomposites using functional graphite (FG) as filler is presented. The fabrication of multilayered conducting composites of PANi/PMMA/PPG-b-PEG-b-PPG was carried out via in situ polymerization, using polyaniline (PANi), poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and block copolymer as matrices in the presence of FGfiller.

A 78-year-old woman status post hysterectomy and radiation therapy 3 years earlier for endometrial carcinoma presented with cough, dyspnea, and weight loss. Computed tomography revealed left upper lobe atelectasis due to an obstructing endobronchial mass, enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes, a moderate left pleural effusion, and several subcentimeter nodules in the right lung. Flexible bronchoscopy confirmed a tumor mass obstructing the left upper lobe bronchus.
