Real-World Use of Molnupiravir in the Treatment of Outpatients with SARS-CoV-2 Infection-A Patient Profile Based on the Experience of a Tertiary Infectious Disease Center.

During the current pandemic, the gap between fundamental research and clinical practice has been narrowing at a faster pace than ever before. While clinical trials play the main role of confirming the safety and efficacy of new drugs, a drug's introduction into clinical practice creates the need for further research in order to best position the use of the novel drug in terms of when, to whom, and how it would be best administered to achieve the best possible outcome under feasible clinical circumstances. We briefly present the results of a retrospective analysis of the characteristics of outpatients treated with molnupiravir in a tertiary care infectious disease hospital in Bucharest, Romania, between February and March 2022, when Romania was experiencing its fifth wave of COVID-19.

Treatment initiation or switch to BIC/FTC/TAF - real-world safety and efficacy data from two HIV centers in Romania.

Introduction: Development of highly active antiretroviral therapy marked an important step forward in the management of people living with HIV and fixed dose combinations are now available to be used as modern antiretroviral regimens. The single-tablet regimen bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (BIC/FTC/TAF) was recently approved in Europe and included in international guidelines and recommendations. It became available in Romania in early 2021.

Medical education for emergency physician focused on basic competence (Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma). Evaluation of the Romanian national program: "Regional Emergency Medical Services Systems".

Unlabelled: Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (FAST), a type of training for unique ultrasonography competence, represents a necessity in the emergency assistance of the trauma patient. The principal OBJECTIVE of this prospective study was to evaluate the teaching performance and to identify the training necessities related to the curriculum of the unique ultrasonography competence--FAST--used in the frame of the national program of rehabilitation of the emergency system in Romania.

Material And Method: The study was performed on a number of 164 emergency medicine physicians, trained following a unique theoretical and practical curriculum, between April and December 2006 in 4 Romanian university centers.
