Objectives: Sudden death in multiple system atrophy (MSA) is caused by decreased serotonergic innervation, but there is no routine test method for this decrease. In addition to dopamine transporters, iodine-123-labelled N-(3-fluoropropyl)-2β-carbomethoxy-3β-(4-iodophenyl) nortropane (I-FP-CIT) binds serotonin transporters (SERTs). We noted a binding potential to quantify the total quantity of I-FP-CIT binding to its receptors.

In this study, we investigated the effects of the administration of spent coffee grounds (SCG) on methane production in the rumen in two cows. The planar chemical structures and relative configurations of the new compounds were elucidated by high-resolution mass spectrometry, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy, and DP4+ analysis using the calculated C NMR chemical shifts. For moringols I and II (1 and 2), the planar chemical structures and relative configurations were confirmed using X-ray crystallography.

Methods: A total of 192 participants, clinically classified as cognitively normal (CN) (n = 59), mild cognitive impairment (MCI) (n = 65), Alzheimer's disease (AD) (n = 55), or non-AD dementia (n = 13), participated in this study. Three experts conducted visual ratings of the amyloid PET images for all 192 patients, assigning a confidence level to each rating on a three-point scale (certain, probable, or neither).
Background: Bone marrow metastasis (BMM) of gastric cancer (GC), which is the most common cause of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) among solid tumors, has a poor prognosis. Studies on prognostic improvement beyond one year in patients with GC with BMM are limited. This is the first report of a patient who survived over three years after 30 months of S-1 plus oxaliplatin (SOX) therapy for GC with BMM.

Changes in stroke patients' gait while walking on even surfaces have been reported; however, gait alterations on uneven surfaces remain unclear.
Research Question: To what extent do biomechanical parameters and muscle activity during even and uneven surface walking differ between stroke patients and healthy people?
Methods: Twenty stroke patients and 20 age-matched healthy people walked on a 6 m even and uneven surfaces.
Objectives: As less autopsies are performed, the need for postmortem computed tomography (PMCT) as an alternative is increasing. It is important to know how postmortem changes over time are reflected on CT, in order to improve the diagnostic capability of PMCT and replace forensic pathology evaluations such as time of death estimation.
Methods: In this study, we examined temporal changes on postmortem chest CT images of a rat model.
