The aim of this study was to synthesize and characterize a nanogold-{[(Cu)(phen)(cys)(HO)]NO} conjugate and to evaluate its antiproliferative property against the breast cancer cell line (MCF7) and normal cell line (MCF10A). Nanogold solution was prepared using the Turkevich method. In one approach, a ternary copper(II) complex of 1,10-phenanthroline with l-cysteine, [(Cu)(phen)(cys)(HO)]NO, was first prepared and then tethered with the gold nanoparticles.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of substituting triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) with 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl methacrylate (TFEMA) on water sorption, water solubility, degree of conversion, polymerization shrinkage, fluoride release and flexural strength of bisphenol-A-glycerolate dimethacrylate (Bis-GMA)/TEGDMA/urethane dimethacrylate (UDMA) dental composites. Flexural strength, water sorption and water solubility were measured according to ISO 4049 standard. Degree of conversion was determined by FTIR technique.

Temozolomide (TMZ) is one of the most effective chemotherapeutic agents for glioblastoma multiforme, but the required high administration dose is accompanied by side effects. To overcome this problem and to further improve TMZ's efficacy, targeted delivery of TMZ by using polymeric nanoparticles has been explored. We synthesised the PLGA-PEG-FOL copolymer and attempted encapsulation of TMZ into PLGA-PEG-FOL nanoparticles using the emulsion solvent evaporation method and the nanoprecipitation method.

Purpose: Pharmacokinetic interaction of sunitinib with diclofenac, paracetamol, mefenamic acid and ibuprofen was evaluated due to their P450 mediated metabolism and OATP1B1, OATP1B3, ABCB1, ABCG2 transporters overlapping features.

Methods: Male and female mice were administered 6 sunitinib doses (60 mg/kg) PO every 12 h and 30 min before the last dose were administered vehicle (control groups), 250 mg/kg paracetamol, 30 mg/kg diclofenac, 50 mg/kg mefenamic acid or 30 mg/kg ibuprofen (study groups), euthanized 6 h post last administration and sunitinib plasma, liver, kidney, brain concentrations analyzed.
