Background: Urine leukocyte count under microscopy is one of the most frequently used routine screening tests for urinary tract infection (UTI). Nevertheless, it is observed that pyuria is lacking in 10-25% of children with UTI. This study aims to determine the factors related to pyuria-negative UTI in young infants aged under four months old.

Nevertheless, there remains a lack of consensus regarding appropriate screening practices for UTI in infants with hyperbilirubinemia. This study aimed to analyze a group of jaundiced infants to assess the prevalence of UTI, explore potential risk factors, and examine the impact of UTI on the course and severity of neonatal jaundice.

The World Health Organization (WHO) classified mastocytosis into cutaneous mastocytosis, systemic mastocytosis (SM), and mast cell sarcoma (MCS). We hereby present a case of retroperitoneal MCS with concurrent systemic mastocytosis and an undisclosed associated hematological neoplasm (SM-undisclosed AHN).

However, the importance of cross-lineage admixture in facilitating adaptive radiations is increasingly being recognised, and suggested as a main cause of phylogenetic uncertainty. In this study, we used a double digest RADseq protocol to provide a high resolution (~4 Million bp) nuclear phylogeny of the Delphininae.

In this study, bottlenose dolphins ( sp.) are studied to address this broader question.

A total of three micropumps, including two enhancement structures having two-fin or obstacle structure and one conventional micro nozzle/diffuser design, are made and tested in this study. It is found that dramatic increase of the pressure drops across the designed micro nozzles/diffusers are seen when the obstacle or fin structure is added.

The development of a Luminex multiplex immunoassay for measurement of salivary IgG and IgA responses to potentially waterborne pathogens, Helicobacter pylori, Toxoplasma gondii, Cryptosporidium, and four noroviruses, involved selection of antigens and optimization of antigen coupling to Luminex microspheres. Coupling confirmation was conducted using antigen specific antibody or control sera at serial dilutions.

A followup MRI showed fluid at the cemented vertebral bodies. Repeat percutaneous vertebroplasty (PV) was performed in these six patients at the cemented vertebrae.

Infusion pressures were ranged from the gravity driving 10 kPa (75 mmHg) to the pressurized driving 50 kPa (375 mmHg). The experiment results were correlated to obtain the empirical friction factors and the loss factors for the components commonly used in a fluid resuscitation system.
