Introduction: Gaining insight into patient characteristics to predict the success of procedures is crucial for improving outcomes and for preoperative counselling. We identified predictors of achieving a minimal clinically important difference (MCID) in lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) 3 months after Rezūm.
Material And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on patients treated with Rezūm.
Background: Rezum alleviates lower urinary tract symptoms secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) while preserving sexual function, but long-term sexual function outcomes are lacking in patients with baseline erectile dysfunction (ED).
Aim: The study sought to analyze 4 years of real-world sexual function outcomes of Rezum using the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) questionnaire, stratified by baseline ED status.
Methods: Participants included multiethnic Rezum-treated patients from a single outpatient office.
Introduction: Water vapor thermal therapy (WVTT) is a minimally invasive therapy designed to treat lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Long-term outcomes with large (>80 cc) and small (<30 cc) prostate volumes (PVs) remain limited. We report 48-month outcomes for a multiethnic cohort of WVTT-treated men, stratified by PV.

Methods And Results: This study was a non-interventional, retrospective cohort study of adult (≥18 years old) patients in the Japanese MDV claims database diagnosed with ATTR-CM and with at least two tafamidis prescriptions of dose strength 4 × 20 mg/day between 1 March 2019 and 31 August 2021. The date of the first prescription was defined as the index date, with follow-up time defined as the time between the first and last prescription plus the days' supply from the last refill.
The co-existence of deadly viral pandemics can be considered a nightmare for public health authorities. The surge of a Marburg virus disease (MVD) outbreak in Africa at a time when the coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) pandemic is partially controlled with its limited resources is an urgent call for concern. Over the past decades, several bouts of MVD outbreaks have occurred in Africa with an alarming case fatality rate.

Methods: An international study to comprehensively characterize the burden of ATTR-CM on patients naïve to disease-modifying therapy and their unpaid primary caregivers using study-specific and established surveys (patients: Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire Overall Summary [KCCQ-OS], 12-Item Short Form Health Survey [SF-12], Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale [HADS], Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System [PROMIS] Fatigue and Dyspnea; caregivers: SF-12, HADS, PROMIS Fatigue, Zarit Burden Interview [ZBI]). All data were summarized descriptively.
What Is This Summary About?: People with blood-related conditions have a higher chance of getting invasive fungal infections (IFIs). IFIs are severe fungal infections that can lead to death. Only a few medications, known as antifungals, exist that can be used to prevent IFIs, and sometimes they can cause very bad side effects.

Background: Management of urinary symptoms in elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is complex given challenges with medications and invasive surgeries. Rezum, a minimally invasive water vapor therapy, is an emerging alternative. We compare real-world Rezum outcomes between young and elderly patients over 4 years.

This study assessed long-term all-cause survival in patients with New York Heart Association (NYHA) class III symptoms in the Tafamidis in Transthyretin Cardiomyopathy Clinical Trial (ATTR-ACT) long-term extension (LTE) study.
Methods And Results: At the baseline of ATTR-ACT, 55/176 (31.

Objective: To assess central sensitization in young patients with spondyloarthritis (SpA) and to study the associated factors with higher central sensitization scores.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional study including patients with SpA (ASAS criteria) aged less than 50 years. For all patients, we collected the sociodemographic and disease characteristics data.
Background: The Rezum System (Rezum) represents a novel, minimally invasive surgical therapy used to treat lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). We evaluated the safety and efficacy of Rezum in patients with mild, moderate, or severe LUTS.
Methods: A single office, retrospective study was conducted on patients from a multiethnic population treated with Rezum between 2017 and 2019.

Background: A higher prevalence of cardiovascular risk was observed in spondyloarthritis (SpA). The relationship between disease-related factors structural damage and subclinical atherosclerosis is still unknown.
Objective: The aim of our study was to evaluate the association of subclinical atherosclerosis with radiographic structural damage in patients with SpA.
In the present work, we demonstrated the potential use of newly identified lipopeptides produced by B. mojavensis BI2 along with palm waste flour for the bioremediation of heavy metals contaminated water. The enhancement of radish seeds germination was used to evaluate the treatment efficiency.

Imaging findings may mimic other common breast lesions, but specific imaging features help establish an accurate diagnosis to adapt therapeutic management.

A retrospective study was conducted on patients with moderate to severe lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) treated with Rezum. Patients were stratified into cohorts based on the number of injections received per lateral prostatic lobe: 1, 2, 3, or 4 injections.

It acts by inhibiting dihydroorotate dehydrogenase through its active metabolite teriflunomide. The objective of the study was to investigate the relation between plasma-concentration of teriflunomide and disease-activity in rheumatoid arthritis.

The endpoints of interest were overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS).
Methods: Evidence for lorlatinib was informed by the single-arm phase I/II trial B7461001.
Objective: Obesity is an independent risk factor for the occurrence of knee osteoarthritis. The influence of abdominal obesity is not well studied. We proposed to determine the relationship between total abdominal obesity, pain, and functional impairment with the severity of radiographic changes in knee osteoarthritis.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective study including adult patients affected by still's disease, attending the rheumatology department and patients affected by systemic-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis attending the pediatric department.
Objectives: Patients with haematologic malignancies are at high risk of developing invasive fungal infections (IFIs). Current guidelines recommend the use of azoles for IFI prophylaxis; however, in many clinical situations, antifungal prophylaxis is used off-label. We conducted a systematic literature review to provide haematologists with the available evidence on the effectiveness and safety of isavuconazole in IFI prophylaxis in interventional and real-world, observational studies.
