Acquired haemophilia A (AHA) is a rare disorder with an incidence of 1.5 cases per million per year in the United Kingdom. The incidence could be underestimated due to difficulty in diagnosis and also due to the fact that people with low titre inhibitor levels are asymptomatic.

SARS-CoV-2 infection has various manifestations including neurological and musculoskeletal system involvement. COVID-19 infection causes peripheral nerve lesions including small fibre neuropathy. Complex regional pain syndrome is a debilitating neurological condition manifested by predominantly pain associated with other sensory, motor, autonomic and tropic involvement.

The diversity of products from the ocean bed serves as potentially healing materials and inert vehicles carrying the drug of interest to the target site. Several composites still lay undiscovered under the blue canopy, which can provide treatment for untreated diseases that keep haunting the earth periodically.

Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted to collect demographic data, clinical variables, the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio on-admission and the outcome of confirmed COVID-19 patients admitted to a tertiary care center in Sri Lanka.
Results: There were 208 patients with a median age of 56 years (IQR 43-67) and 98 (47.
Background: Leptospirosis is a zoonotic illness caused by pathogenic spirochetes of the genus Leptospira. The disease spectrum ranges from a mild influenza-like presentation to a more serious Weil's syndrome. Leptospirosis rarely presents as a primary neurological syndrome.

The mortality is even higher in resource-poor countries where facilities and equipment are limited. The () recommends an updated hour-1 bundle based on the evidence from the International Guidelines for Management of Sepsis and Septic Shock 2018.

Multiple drug delivery is also on its stride to achieve holistic therapeutic regime. In our quest for such a treatment for cancer we selected two phytochemicals namely resveratrol (RS) and ferulic acid (FA) that have gained wide attention in the field of medicine due to their array of properties.

Conventional cancer therapies possess a plethora of limitations which led to the awakening of nanotechnology and nanomedicine. However, technological success is widely dependent on complete understanding of the complexity and heterogeneity of tumor biology on one hand and nanobiointeractions associated with challenges of synthesis, translation, and commercialization on the other. The present study therefore deals with one such targeted approach aiming at synthesizing, characterizing, and understanding the efficacy of molybdenum oxide nanoparticles.

Methodology: A total of 504 patients, from the Professorial Unit of the Colombo South Teaching Hospital completed the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ).
endocarditis has 18%-62% association with colonic neoplasms with multivalvular involvement and affects mainly elderly males leading to severe cardiac dysfunction, septic embolization, and neurological complications. The aortic valve is the commonest valve to be affected followed by aortic and mitral valves together. However, involvement of tricuspid valve is extremely rare.

Significant morbidity and mortality associated with TCA overdose are often related to and refractory hypotension. We report the first case of survival after severe amitriptyline poisoning, leading to prolonged cardiac arrest and ventricular tachycardia (VT), resuscitated with 3 h of uninterrupted cardiac massage and Direct current (DC) shocks.

We performed this study to identify the prevalence of NAFLD in patients with ACS admitted to a tertiary care center in Sri Lanka.

Leucopenia or agranulocytosis is a rare side effect of this drug. Pancytopenia is an extremely rare side effect of clozapine and literature review showed only one such case in where the pancytopenia developed several months after starting clozapine together with other antipsychotic drugs.

Cardiac involvement is a frequent complication of leptospirosis although significant left ventricular dysfunction is rare. We report a case of fatal leptospira myocarditis leading to cardiogenic shock on the second day of illness.

Case Presentation: We report a 55-year-old patient with Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever presenting with transient ventricular trigeminy which has not been reported before.
Background: The electrocardiogram (ECG) is useful in the diagnosis of cardiac and non-cardiac conditions. Rigors due to shivering can cause electrocardiogram artifacts mimicking various cardiac rhythm abnormalities.
Case Presentation: We describe an 80-year-old Sri Lankan man with an abnormal electrocardiogram mimicking narrow complex tachycardia during the immediate post-operative period.
