[Rapid Determination of Seven Fungicides in Citrus Fruits].

A rapid and simple determination method of seven fungicides, thiabendazole (TBZ), pyrimethanil (PYR), o-phenylphenol (OPP), fludioxonil (FLD), azoxystrobin (AZX), imazalil (IMZ) and diphenyl (DP) in citrus fruits by LC-MS and HPLC-FL was developed. The seven fungicides were extracted with acetonitrile from citrus fruits and cleaned up with Z-Sep/C18 cartridges. The LC separation was performed on a phenyl-hexyl column with methanol-acetonitrile-10 mmol/L ammonium formate (10 : 35 : 55) as a mobile phase.

[Individually Safe and Realistic Correction of Antipsychotic Polypharmacy and High-dose Regimens in Japanese Patients with Chronic Schizophrenia: The SCAP method].

Background: Musculoskeletal atrophy is one of the major problems of extended periods of exposure to weightlessness such as on the International Space Station (ISS). We developed the Hybrid Training System (HTS) to maintain an astronaut's musculoskeletal system using an electrically stimulated antagonist to resist the volitional contraction of the agonist instead of gravity. The present study assessed the system's orbital operation capability and utility, as well as its preventative effect on an astronaut's musculoskeletal atrophy.

The tRNA Splicing Endonuclease Complex Cleaves the Mitochondria-localized CBP1 mRNA.

The tRNA splicing endonuclease (Sen) complex is located on the mitochondrial outer membrane and splices precursor tRNAs in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Here, we demonstrate that the Sen complex cleaves the mitochondria-localized mRNA encoding Cbp1 (cytochrome b mRNA processing 1). Endonucleolytic cleavage of this mRNA required two cis-elements: the mitochondrial targeting signal and the stem-loop 652-726-nt region.

Background: We report on Japanese patients who showed neurological deterioration induced by sitting after cervicothoracic posterior decompression with instrumented fusion, but showed immediate neurological recovery after bed rest.

Case Presentation: Patients showed incomplete paraparesis caused by the ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament at uppermost thoracic spine. Cervicothoracic posterior decompression with instrumented fusion was performed.

The rationale for posterior decompression with instrumented fusion (PDF) surgery is to limit the motion of the non-ossified segment of OPLL by stabilization. The purpose of the present study was to elucidate the course of bone union and remodelling of the non-ossified segment of thoracic OPLL (T-OPLL) after PDF surgery.

Purpose: The optimal surgical procedure for distal gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y reconstruction (DGRY) remains to be determined. Recently, a self-report assessment instrument, the Postgastrectomy Syndrome Assessment Scale-45 (PGSAS-45), was compiled to evaluate symptoms, the living status and the quality of life of patients who have undergone gastrectomy. We used this scale to evaluate procedures used for DGRY.
