Background: Snake bite is a well-known occupational hazard amongst farmers, plantation workers, and other outdoor workers and results in much morbidity and mortality throughout the world. The complications related to kidneys are observed in most patients with snake bites admitted to a hospital. The current study aimed to study the renal involvement in patients with snake bites with reference to clinical features and the time of onset of acute renal failure.

Background: The physiological equilibrium of the entire human body's metabolism is significantly influenced by thyroid hormones. Subclinical hypothyroidism, which is often concealed, is connected to iron deficiency anemia and various other hematological disorders. We in the current study tried to determine the prevalence and severity of iron deficiency anemia and investigate the correlation of subclinical hypothyroidism with iron deficiency.

Diagnosis of Pleural Fluid Effusions by Cell Block and Pleural Biopsy - A Comparative Study.

Background: Cytological smear and cell block are commonly used to diagnose pleural fluid effusion. However, there is a paucity of information in the literature where a comparison between a cytological smear and a cell block with corresponding pleural biopsy has been done. This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of cytological smears, cell blocks, and pleural biopsy for the diagnosis of malignant tumors.

COVID 19 vaccine in patients of hypercoagulable disorders: a clinical perspective.

COVID 19 is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2. Thromboembolism has been a characteristic manifestation in most of the severely ill COVID-19 patients. Thromboembolism in COVID 19 infection is attributed to injury to the vascular endothelial cell, hypercoagulability and blood stasis.
