However, the dualistic mind-body perspective is still present and affects the way this health situation is addressed. Following this approach, pain can either be attributed to an identifiable cause or considered as 'psychological' pain, for which there is neither an identifiable cause nor adequate treatment.

Background: Clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) recommend antidepressants for patients with moderate-severe depression and active monitoring for patients with mild-moderate symptoms. The feasibility and efficiency of active monitoring has not been proven conclusively. The aim of this study is to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of active monitoring in comparison to antidepressants for primary care patients with mild-moderate MDD.

Objectives: To test the feasibility of an online intervention (DARWeb) for children with functional abdominal pain and their families.

Methods: An online intervention (with 7 units for children and 7 for parents) was developed from a cognitive-behavioral perspective. A total of 15 families were given access to the intervention and asked to rate their satisfaction with each unit and the overall program (using scales from 0 to 10).
