Outcomes of Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Patients Aged 70 Years and Older: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.

Background: Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT) is a potential cure for many hematological malignancies. Historically, older adults were not considered eligible for allo-HCT due to increased toxicity and mortality concerns. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to explore the outcomes of allo-HCT in patients aged 70 years or older.

Retrograde urethrography (RUG) combined with voiding cystourethrography (VCUG) versus surgical findings in assessment of urethral strictures length.

Background And Objective: Retrograde urethrography (RUG) combined with voiding cystourethrography (VCUG) is the most common and preferred imaging modality for evaluating urethral strictures, despite its well-known limitations and disadvantages. In this study, we assessed the clinical relevance of RUG + VCUG, along with intraoperative assessment in measuring male urethral strictures.

Method: This study was a single-center retrospective study involving 134 male patients diagnosed with urethral stricture disease.

Introduction: Posterior urethral valves (PUV) and ureterovesical junction obstruction (UVJO) are common etiologies of lower urinary tract obstruction. The primary objective of therapy is to alleviate the obstruction in the urinary system. Temporary urinary diversion may be necessary in certain situations, such as Urinary tract infection (UTI), sepsis, and unchanging hydronephrosis.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) ranks as the third most common cancer worldwide, significantly contributing to cancer-related deaths and increasingly affecting younger populations. Although its impact on patients' quality of life is profound, scientometric studies on CRC remain underexplored. The objective of this study was to evaluate the scientific literature on CRC from 2014 to 2023, employing a range of scientometric and statistical approaches.

Intrarater and Inter-rater Reliability of Tibial Plateau Fracture Classifications: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Background: The interobserver and intraobserver reliability of various tibial plateau fracture (TPF) classifications has been examined in recent literature using radiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. The question remains as to which classification system provides the highest reliability. In this systematic review, we are going to evaluate the overall interobserver and intraobserver reliability of various TPF classifications in different imaging modalities.

Correlation of sibling couple infertility history with semen parameters of infertile men, a cohort study.

Introduction: Infertility is a growing issue globally, particularly in industrialized cultures, affecting 13%-18% of couples of reproductive ages. In recent years, numerous studies have aimed to identify prognostic factors for infertility and abnormal semen analysis. To date, no study has examined the relationship between the number of infertile siblings and abnormal sperm parameters.

Evaluation of treatment planning discrepancies: CT versus plain radiographic findings in patients with foot and ankle trauma.

This study aimed to compare the findings of plain radiography and computed tomography (CT) of foot and ankle in patients submitted to the emergency department with high-energy foot and ankle trauma, to demonstrate if missing fractures on plain radiographs will significantly alter the treatment plan considered for each patient based on the findings of each imaging modality. We retrospectively observed standard radiological foot and ankle x-rays and CT scans in patients who presented to our center from April 2019 to June 2020 with a history of foot and ankle trauma with either loss of consciousness, a history of high-energy trauma, or clinical presentation disproportionate to plain radiographic findings. We investigated the number of fractures of each bone detected on plain radiographs and CT scans and the treatments based on each modality's findings in patients admitted to our center.

Background: Bladder cancer is a malignancy greatly affected by behavioral habits. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of opium on changes in the expression of and in the bladder tissue of rats.

Method: Thirty six rats were divided into six groups: 24 rats in the addicted group received morphine and opium for 4 months with 12 rats in the control group.

Materials And Methods: In a systematic review, we included the following keywords in the search: (Albumin*) AND (infection*) AND ("renal transplant" OR "renal transplantation" OR "renal transplants") OR ("kidney transplant" OR "kidney transplantation" OR "kidney transplants") OR "kidney grafting") with investigating databases including ProQuest, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science to May 2023. All adult patients who had renal transplantation were included.

An Overview of the Available Intervention Strategies for Postural Balance Control in Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Background: Postural instability is a prevalent issue among individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that affects the development of their perceptual-motor skills and social functioning. Visual and somatosensory processing deficits, hypotonia, basal ganglia dysfunction, and anxiety are some of the concurrent disorders in individuals with ASD. Nevertheless, a definite management protocol for postural instability in ASD has not been introduced yet.
