One of the key parameters in radio link planning is the propagation path loss. Most of the existing methods for its prediction are not characterized by a good balance between accuracy, generality, and low computational complexity. To address this problem, a machine learning approach for path loss prediction is presented in this study.

Nasal Packing in Septal Surgery: A Narrative Review.

Recently, alternatives to intranasal packing following septoplasty and rhinoseptoplasty have been widely used and promoted. Here, we aimed to systemically review and compare the different types of nasal packing used in these two surgeries. This paper presents state of the art universal adhesive systems and the effect of shelf-life and storage conditions on their bond performance. Three topics are explored in this review: an introduction to the topic, the mechanisms responsible for the degradation of the hybrid layer, and the factors that play a role in the stability of universal adhesives. In addition, issues such as potential durability and clinical importance are discussed.

Polymers undergoing inhomogeneous adsorption: Order parameters for a partially directed walk model.

We consider partially directed walk models of polymers undergoing inhomogeneous adsorption. The inhomogeneity can be in the polymer, in the surface, or in both. For the cases where the polymer is either a homopolymer or a strictly alternating copolymer and where the surface is either homogeneous or has stripes of width 1, we calculate detailed order parameters and show that these provide important information about the ways in which the polymer adsorbs.

Diagnosis of sacrococcygeal teratoma using two and three-dimensional ultrasonography: two cases reported and a literature review.

The occurrence of a fetal tumor is rare, 50% of all fetal tumors being sacrococcygeal teratomas. Prenatal diagnosis of this condition is important for the monitoring of the affected fetuses and for establishing the mode and time of delivery. We describe two cases of fetal sacrococcygeal teratoma diagnosed by 2D- and 3D-ultrasound.

Prenatal diagnosis of gonosomal anomalies: limitations of the FISH method and genetic counseling difficulties in 15 cases.

Pulling alternating copolymers adsorbed on a striped surface.

We consider a partially directed walk model of a strictly alternating copolymer adsorbing on a striped surface where the energy is associated with the numbers of the two types of monomers adsorbed on the two types of surface sites. A force is applied to the last monomer and the polymer responds to this force, sometimes by desorbing. The force can be applied at various angles, with the surface component parallel or perpendicular (or at some other angle) to the stripe direction.

The fetal abdominal wall defects using 2D and 3D ultrasound. Pictorial essay.

The use of fetal ultrasound in prenatal care allows the diagnosis of the majority of abdominal wall defects with subsequent opportunities for parental counseling and optimal perinatal management. Outcome of a fetus with an abdominal wall defect is significantly affected by the presence of additional malformations or chromosomal defects. Appropriate management is dependent on the early identification of such anomalies in addition to accurate delineation of the abdominal wall defect itself.

[Obstetric management of Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome. A case report].

[Congenital oropharyngeal tumors in the newborn: problems in team diagnosis and treatment].

There are a great variety of lesions of oral cavity which may require surgical intervention in neonatal period. The differential diagnoses include tumors (malignant, teratoma, cystic hygroma, lymphangioma, hemangioma), congenital epulis, dermoid cysts, ranula. Congenital epulis of the newborn is a rare tumour which is usually benign.

The prenatal detection of Jeune syndrome (asphyxiating thoracic dystrophy). Case report.

The authors present the case of a foetus with Jeune syndrome (asphyxiating thoracic dystrophy) in a woman with a previous deceased child with the same disease, and also with a normal sibling. The diagnosis was mentioned at 26 week of pregnancy, based on ultrasonographic findings: short proximal bones (under 3 percentiles), and a diminished thoracic circumference, (although greater than 10 percentiles for the gestational age). There was an interdisciplinary agreement for the therapeutic termination of the pregnancy, and the post-expulsion assessment confirmed the diagnosis.

[Cervical pregnancy].

The authors report a case of cervical pregnancy in a nulliparous woman (after treatment for secondary infertility) treated systemically and locally with methotrexate. Related to the case, they make some considerations concerning early diagnosis and conservative treatment of ectopic cervical pregnancies, in order to maintain the patients' fertility. The woman presented in this case report is now 5-weeks intrauterine pregnant.
