St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum)-Related Acute Kidney Injury.

Some herbal products were reported to cause nephrotoxicity through different mechanisms. This case report defines an acute kidney injury (AKI) in a patient who used Hypericum perforatum tea as a sleep disorder remedy. The patient developed AKI after ingestion of tea prepared from Hypericum perforatum and underwent hemodialysis because of acute kidney failure.
