Background: The principles of dynamic consent are based on the idea of safeguarding the autonomy of individuals by providing them with personalized options to choose from regarding the sharing and utilization of personal health data. To facilitate the widespread introduction of dynamic consent concepts in practice, individuals must perceive these procedures as useful and easy to use. This study examines the user experience of a dynamic consent-based application, in particular focusing on personalized options, and explores whether this approach may be useful in terms of ensuring the autonomy of data subjects in personal health data usage.

Sharing a medical image visually annotated by a region of interest with a remotely located specialist for consultation is a good practice. It may, however, require a special-purpose (and most likely expensive) system to send and view them, which is an unfeasible solution in developing countries such as Vietnam. The synergic effect of regular exercise and resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound with potent antioxidant activity, was investigated against kainate-induced seizures and oxidative stress in mice. After 6 weeks of swimming training, the total body weight decreased and the blood concentration of lactate stabilized statistically in comparison with the sedentary mice, indicate that the training program increased the aerobic resistance of mice. Kainate (30 mg/kg) evoked seizure activity 5 min after injection, and seizure activity was measured seizure rating scores every 5 min up to 2 h.

Objectives: To develop effective ways of sharing patients' medical information, we developed a new medical information exchange system (MIES) based on a registry server, which enabled us to exchange different types of data generated by various systems.

Methods: To assure that patient's medical information can be effectively exchanged under different system environments, we adopted the standardized data transfer methods and terminologies suggested by the Center for Interoperable Electronic Healthcare Record (CIEHR) of Korea in order to guarantee interoperability. Regarding information security, MIES followed the security guidelines suggested by the CIEHR of Korea.

The National Biobank of Korea (NBK) is a government supported project that aims at consolidating various human-originated biomedical resources collected by individual hospitals nation-wide and integrating them with their donors' clinical information which researchers can take advantage of. This study describes a systematic and efficient point-of-care home hospice information system, which can effectively manage patient information and can easily be incorporated into a home hospice service using wired and/or wireless communications and mobile computing technology. To help with the design of a portable home hospice information system, we analyzed the services provided by visiting nurses and the opinions of users, based on the 2005 Guidelines for Cancer Patient Management Program of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Korea.
