Article Synopsis
  • The study looks at how competing populations, including their initial members and mutants, reproduce based on a specific function and migrate through different regions using a Markov matrix.
  • By applying the theory of monotonous operators, the research addresses important topics like selection dynamics, species coexistence, and population stability.
  • The findings indicate that as the number of areas increases, a greater selective advantage is necessary for the initial population to thrive.

Aim: To determine the effect of plasma homocysteine (Hc) on the structure and function of the left ventricle (LV) in patients treated by programmed hemodialysis.

Subjects And Methods: 109 patients on programmed hemodialysis were examined. Blood Hc levels were determined and echocardiography was performed in all the patients.

The sampling of 82 patients was included into the study to assess the diagnostic value of laboratory markers of endothelium dysfunction (homocysteine concentration, von Willebrand factor activity) in patients passing the treatment of program hemodialysis. The study detected the reliable increase of homocysteine level and activity of von Willebrand factor in patients passing hemodialysis. The association of increasing of concentration of homocysteine and von Willebrand factor activity with rate of cardiovascular complications in patients passing the program in patients passing hemodialysis was established.

To study influence of markers of function endothelium on structurally functional indicators left ventricular at patients on a hemodialysis. 98 Patients on a hemodialysis are surveyed. To all patients defined concentration stable metabolites of oxyde nitrogen whey of blood, total cholesterol, cholesterol of low density lipoproteine, cholesterol of high density lipoproteine, triglycerides, homocysteine, Willebrand factor, spent echocardiography research.

Examination of 109 patients with chronic renal disease undergoing hemodialysis revealed significant impairment of arterial wall distensibility (accordingly, decreased Peterson's and Young's elastic moduli, distensibility coefficient). The relative thickness of the common carotid artery and pulse wave velocity were significantly greater than in practically healthy subjects. Independent factors influencing arterial wall rigidity included age, arterial pressure, total cholesterol and homocystein, stable metabolites of nitric oxide, creatinine, calcium, phosphorus levels, calcium x phosphorus product, duration of hemodialysis, interdialytic weight gain.

Clinical presentations of chronic heart failure (CHF) and structural-functional changes of the myocardium were studied in 65 patients (29 men, 36 women, mean age 43,1 +/- 11,1 years) with stage IV - V of chronic renal disease in the predialysis period and during first year of programmed hemodialysis. According to clinical-functional data in predialysis period 56 patients (86.2%) had CHF stages I, IIA and IIB (33.

Aim of the study was to elucidate possibility of the use of brain and atrial natriuretic peptide (BNP) as a diagnostic marker of diastolic dysfunction (DD) of the left ventricular myocardium in 37 patients with predialysis chronic kidney disease (CKD). We used data of echocardiography and Doppler echocardiography for detection of functional signs of DD and correlated with BNP levels. Patients with signs of DD (81.

The authors analyse different approaches (geometrical and analytical) to investigate the dynamic of competing populations in changing environment. For the broad range of models a sufficient character of selection is determined: in changing environment one population excludes the others if its productivity is higher with some reserve. In competition models "everybody against everybody" there is a universal reserve constant that is not depended on the number of populations in community.
