Calcifying nested stromal-epithelial tumor is a rare hepatic malignancy with approximately 50 cases reported in the literature. Its clinical presentation is nonspecific, and the diagnosis is mainly based on histology which shows nests of spindle and epithelioid cells along with a desmoplastic myofibroblastic stroma containing variable calcification and ossification. In this report, we present a case of a 24-year-old woman with a history of abdominal pain, distension, and dyspepsia.

Burn injuries are the most prevalent and devastating form of skin trauma. Current study aimed to fabricate novel chitosan-based composite films of vancomycin for wound healing applications. The developed vancomycin-chitosan films were evaluated for various quality attributes and were subjected to anti-bacterial activity against methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and wound healing efficacy study in rat model.

An effective approach used for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) through green chemistry by using Kinnow peel extract as a reducing and capping agent is presented. Two different approaches, diluted and concentrated peel extracts, were used for the synthesis of AgNPs. Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy exhibits characteristic absorption peaks at 425 and 400 nm for nanoparticles (NPs) synthesised by diluted and concentrated extracts, respectively.

Background: Endophytic fungi are being recognized as vital and untapped sources of a variety of structurally novel and unique bioactive secondary metabolites in the field of natural products drug discovery. Herein, this study reports the isolation and characterization of secondary metabolites from an endophytic fungus Penicillium polonicum (NFW9) associated with Taxus fuana.

Method: The extracts of the endophytic fungus cultured on potato dextrose agar were purified using several chromatographic techniques.

The chemical similarity of antibacterial cyclic peptides and peptidomimetics was studied in order to identify new promising cyclic scaffolds. A large descriptor space coupled with cluster analysis was employed to digitize known antibacterial structures and to gauge the potential of new peptidomimetic macrocycles, which were conveniently synthesized by acylbenzotriazole methodology. Some of the synthesized compounds were tested against an array of microorganisms and showed antibacterial activity against Bordetella bronchistepica, Micrococcus luteus, and Salmonella typhimurium.

Euphorbia wallichii a perennial herb growing mainly in Himalayas has been widely used in folk medicines for its medicinal properties. In the present study, the crude methanolic root extract (CME) and its fractions; n-Hexane Fraction (NHF), n-Butanol Fraction (NBF), Chloroform Fraction (CHF), Ethyl acetate Fraction (EAF) and Aqueous Fraction (AQF) of this plant specie were investigated for antioxidant and cytotoxic activities and phytochemical analysis. Antioxidant activity was determined by using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl free radical (DPPH) and DNA protection assay performed on pBR322 plasmid DNA.
