Emergency Services During the SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic: A Gender Comparison of Burnout Risk and Personality Traits in the Kharkiv City Sample.

: The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic presented unique challenges to the health-care system and prehospital emergency medical services. An increasing prevalence of burnout has been described, which in turn is associated with mental illness. The aim of this paper was to evaluate burnout through a sex comparison and to analyze associations of burnout with personality traits during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

Crises require changes to established structures, and this also applies to ambulance services. This case report addresses the Ukrainian ambulance service and the changes resulting from the armed conflict in Ukraine. The purpose of this article is to provide insight into the activities of the ambulance service of the Kharkiv region, the second-largest city in Ukraine.

[Professional gratification crisis, overcommitment, and burnout among Ukrainian anesthesiologists and intensive care physicians during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic].

Background: Mental stress of anesthesiologists and intensive care physicians is varied and complex. Overcommitment (OC) is characterized by an excessive tendency to professional commitment, which can lead to psychological stress and consequently to psychological disorders, such as burnout. The prevalence of burnout among intensive care physicians is internationally widespread.

Work Ability and Analysis of Stress-Relevant Coping With Demands of Teachers-A Cross-Sectional Comparative Study in Germany and Ukraine.

Objective: The aim of this study was to identify strain factors and compare work ability and stress-relevant coping with demands for German and Ukrainian teachers.

Methods: Data from 147 German and 291 Ukraine teachers were examined. A professional history questionnaire, the Work Ability Index, and a questionnaire for the analysis of stress-relevant coping with demands (inability to recover subscale) were used.

Mental Health and Work-Related Behaviors in Management of Work Requirements of University Lecturers in Ukraine-An Age Group Comparison.

Background: There are only a few national and international studies on the health of third-level professor lecturers at universities and colleges. Work-related diseases are important and relevant for occupational medicine. The aim of the study was to examine the mental health and work-related behavior and experience patterns of Ukrainian university lecturers in age group comparisons.

Objectives: The banking sector is a branch of the global labor market that is increasingly facing stress. This can have some negative effects on mental and physical health. The aim of the study was to examine the management of stress and the assessment of mental health in 2 European countries.

[Relationship Between Stress Experience and Stress Behavior - Measured with the Differential Stress Inventory and Burnout Symptoms in the MBI].

Objective: The aim of the study was to determine the relationship of the different DSI categories and stress types of stressor behaviour and experience on burnout in an occupational group.

Methods: The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the Differential Stress Inventory (DSI) were presented to 185 subjects. As a result, a classification into DSI types and the comparison of the MBI categories were performed.
