Automatic modulation recognition plays a vital role in electronic warfare. Modern electronic intelligence and electronic support measures systems are able to automatically distinguish the modulation type of an intercepted radar signal by means of real-time intra-pulse analysis. This extra information can facilitate deinterleaving process as well as be utilized in early warning systems or give better insight into the performance of hostile radars.

An approach to the estimation of motion parameters of moving objects in a video-sequence, by using the SLIDE (subspace-based line detection algorithm) algorithm, is considered. The proposed procedure projects video-frames to the coordinate axes, in order to obtain synthetic images containing information about the motion parameters. These synthetic images are mapped to the FM signals by using constant mu-propagation.

Local frequency (LF) estimation of multidimensional (md) signals is considered. The md-Wigner distribution (WD) is used as the LF estimator. The LF is estimated based on the positions of the WD maxima.
