Triple Negative Breast Cancers (TNBC) are heterogeneous and aggressive pathologies, with distinct morphological and clinical characteristics associated with their genetic diversity, epigenetics, transcriptional changes and aberrant molecular patterns. Treatment with anti-neoplastic drugs exerts systemic effects with low specificity, and incipient improvement in overall survival due to chemoresistance and recurrence. New alternatives for TNBC treatment are urgent and parthenolide or its analogues have been explored.

Objective: To correlate blood transfusions and clinical outcomes during hospitalization in coronary artery bypass grafting surgery (CABG).

Methods: Transfusion, clinical and hematological data were collected for 1,378 patients undergoing isolated or combined CABG between January 2011 and December 2012. The effect of blood transfusions was evaluated through multivariate analysis to predict three co-primary outcomes: composite ischemic events, composite infectious complications and hospital mortality.

In this paper, we present a monocular vision-based height estimation algorithm for terrain following flights. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of tamoxifen on the weight and thickness of the urethral epithelium of castrated female rats.

Methods: Forty castrated adult female Wistar-Hannover rats were randomly divided into two groups: Group I (n=20) in which the animals received only the vehicle (propylene glycol) and Group II (n=20) in which the rats received tamoxifen 250microg/day by gavage. After 30 days of treatment, all animals were sacrificed and the urethra was immediately removed for weighing.

In the present study, we investigated the participation of central 5-HT(2B/2C) and 5-HT(3) receptors in the salt intake induced by sodium depletion in Wistar male rats. Sodium depletion was produced by the administration of furosemide associated with a low salt diet. Third ventricle injections of mCPP, a 5-HT(2B/2C) agonist, at doses of 80, 160 and 240 nmol, promoted a dose-dependent reduction in salt intake in sodium-depleted rats.

In the present paper, we studied in rats the effect of third ventricle administration of m-chlorophenylbiguanide hydrochloride (1-(3-chlorophenyl)biguanide (m-CPBG), a selective 5-HT(3) agonist, on water intake induced by three different physiological stimuli: water deprivation, acute salt load and hypovolemia. Central acute m-CPBG injections in the doses of 80 and 160 nmol significantly reduced water intake elicited by an acute salt load. Third ventricle injections of m-CPBG in the dose of 160 nmol significantly inhibited water intake in hypovolemic animals, whereas third ventricle injections of m-CPBG in a higher dose (320 nmol) were necessary to decrease water intake in water-deprived rats.
