HELLP syndrome (HS), a low-incidence condition of uncertain pathogenesis associated with pregnancy hypertensive syndromes, is characterized by hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelet count. Ruptured subcapsular liver hematoma complicated with hemoperitoneum is an uncommon but very serious condition where early recognition and multidisciplinary management are key to reduce its associated maternal, infant mortality rate. Symptoms are nonspecific, characterized by por epigastric pain, nausea and vomiting; clinical suspicion and appropriate imaging studies are of crucial importance.

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare perioperative and oncological outcomes between TSH and ALPPS to treat patients with initially unresectable colorectal liver metastases (CRLM).
Methods: Main electronic databases were searched using medical subject headings for CRLM surgically treated with TSH or ALPPS.
Radio frequency identification (RFID) has become a key technology in the logistics and management industry, thanks to distinctive features such as the low cost of RFID tags, and the easiness of the RFID tags' deployment and integration within the items to be tracked. In consequence, RFID plays a fundamental role in the so-called digital factory or 4.0 Industry, aiming to increase the level of automatization of industrial processes.

One hundred adult patients undergoing liver transplantation were randomized to receive Tac (n=51) or CyA-me (n=49). Ten patients in group A, and thirty-one patients in group B had their main immunosuppressive agent switched.

All these patients had been subjected to modified radical mastectomy following systemic chemotherapy and periodical consecutive investigations to detect distant spreading. After laparotomy, patients have been regularly followed.
