Thyroid Dysfunction at Different Stages of Chronic Kidney Disease: A Cross-Sectional Study at a Rural Teaching College in Central India.

Background The high prevalence of thyroid dysfunction in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) indicates a major correlation between the progression of CKD and thyroid dysfunction. In this study, we highlighted thyroid dysfunction and its relation to the severity and different stages of CKDs. Materials and methods From October 2018 to September 2020, 200 cases with CKD, admitted under the Department of Medicine at a rural teaching hospital in central India, were selected for the study.
