Article Synopsis
  • Lipoid proteinosis is a rare genetic skin disorder passed down through families, manifesting in various body systems, and inherited in an autosomal recessive way.
  • A case study details a 10-year-old boy with notable symptoms like hoarseness, photoaging skin changes, and a swollen tongue who also exhibits widespread skin lesions.
  • Genetic analysis identified a new mutation in the extracellular matrix protein 1 gene that resulted in a stop codon, marking the first documented instance of this mutation associated with lipoid proteinosis in Bangladesh.

Iron-doped Zinc oxide nanoparticles were produced by the sol-gel combustion method. This study aims to see how iron doping affects the structural, optical, and photocatalytic characteristics of ZnO composites. XRD examined all samples to detect the structural properties and proved that all active materials are a single hexagonal phase.

Compared to lead-based solar cells whose power conversion efficiency is 25.2%, the highest power conversion efficiency of a halide double CsAgBiBr-based perovskite solar cell is less than 3%. It was therefore relevant to unravel the inherent reason(s) for such a low efficiency in the latter that may be related to trapping/detrapping of photocarriers.
