Background: Emerging evidence from various countries suggests that ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients with differing health-care insurance types experience discrepancies in clinical management and outcomes. Kuwait government provides free essential treatments and medications to noninsured patients with certain emergency conditions.
