Knowledge and views of physicians and nurses about physical activity advice in oncology care: a cross-sectional study.

Introduction: the benefits of physical activity have been approved in oncology care. This is why healthcare professionals must play a principle role in promoting physical activity during all cancer care pathway. The purpose of this study was to explore and compare physicians' and nurses' knowledge and views toward physical activity advice in oncology care.

Frequency and types of mutations in Moroccan patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Background: Mutations in the epidermal growth factor receptor () gene are commonly observed in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in adenocarcinoma histology. The frequency of mutations is ethnicity-dependent, with a higher proportion reported in Asian populations than Caucasian populations. There is a lack of data on these mutations in north Africa.

The Frequency and Specific Features of Rare Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Mutations in Moroccan Patients with Lung Adenocarcinoma whose Tumors harbor positive EGFR mutations.

Background: Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations are a heterogeneous group of genetic alterations mainly identified in lung adenocarcinoma (AC). They occur in exon 18 to 20 of the EGFR gene. Common EGFR mutations are deletions in exon 19 and substitutions in exon 21, while mutations in exon 18 and exon 20 are rare.

Frequency of anaplastic lymphoma kinase rearrangements in Moroccan patients with non small cell lung cancer: a multi-institutional national retrospective study.

Background: Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) rearrangement is a predictive factor of response to ALK inhibitors in non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The prevalence of ALK rearrangements is well known in Whites and Asians. However, data identifying the frequency of this rearrangement in Moroccan and North African population are lacking.

Breast Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma: A Rare Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Background: Primary adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of the breast is a rare subtype of invasive breast cancer. It has a particular interest because of its excellent prognosis conversely to other triple-negative breast cancers that are associated with poor prognosis. The place of chemotherapy and radiotherapy remains controversial and there is no consensus on optimal management of the ACC of the breast.

Metastatic giant basal cell carcinoma: a case report.

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common skin cancer, characterised by a slow growing behavior, metastasis are extremely rare, and it occurs in less than 0, 1% of all cases. Giant basal cell carcinoma is a rare form of basal cell carcinoma, more aggressive and defined as a tumor measuring more than 5 cm at its largest diameter. Only 1% of all basal cell carcinoma develops to a giant basal cell carcinoma, resulting of patient's negligence.

Quality of life of early stage colorectal cancer patients in Morocco.

Background: A multicentre cohort study was held in Morocco, designed to evaluate the quality of life of cancer patients. The aim of this paper is to report the assessment of the quality of life of early colorectal cancer patients, before and after cancer treatment, to identify other factors which are related to this quality of life.

Methods: We used the third version of the QLQ-C30 questionnaire of the European organization for Research and treatment of Cancer (EORTC) after a transcultural validation.

Breast metastasis from recurrent gallbladder adenocarcinoma: a case report with review of the literature.

Gallbladder adenocarcinoma has a poor prognostic. The leading modes of dissemination in gallbladder cancer (GBC) are lymphatic, vascular, neural, intraperitoneal, and intraductal. The most common site of dissemination is liver.

Peritoneal carcinomatosis, an unusual and only site of metastasis from lung adenocarcinoma.

Isolated peritoneal metastases of lung adenocarcinoma are very rare, even exceptional, occurring most often in the context of a multi-metastatic disease. This report presents a rare clinical case of isolated peritoneal metastasis from lung adenocarcinoma. We report a 56-year-old male who was monitored for lung adenocarcinoma whose evolution has been marked by an isolated metastatic recurrence in the peritoneum objectified by an abdominal-pelvic computed tomography (CT) and confirmed by a laparoscopy with abiopsy of the peritoneal nodules.

Atypical reversible leucoencephalopathy syndrome after bevacizumab/folfox regimen for metastatic colon cancer.

We are reporting a case of multifocal reversible leucoencephalopathy syndrome induced by chemotherapy based on Folfox-Bevacizumab regimen. A 44-year-old female, with no history of hypertension, received a chemotherapy based on Folfox-Bevacizumab for her metastatic colon cancer (5 FU: 325 mg/m(2) d1 by intravenous infusion, Oxaliplatin 80 mg/m(2) d1, and Bevacizumab: 7.5 mg/Kg d1).

Conjonctival melanoma metastatic to the breast: a case report.

Background: Breast metastasis is fairly uncommon and prognosis is dismal. Breast metastasis might be the first symptom or may occur during the course of other malignancies dominantly arising from the contralateral breast. Leukemia, lung cancer and conjunctival melanoma may spread to the breast.

Treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.

Background: Recent improvements in medical oncology include both development of anticancer and supportive therapy. Serotonin receptor antagonists were introduced in clinical practice 20 years ago. Since then, the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting allows continuing efficacious chemotherapy that earlier had to be stopped sometimes for intolerance.

Long term response to erlotinib in a patient with recurrent vulvar carcinoma: Case report and review of literature.

► We report a case of recurrent vulvar carcinoma with a good response to erlotinib. ► Treatment was well tolerated with no serious side effects. ► Further evaluation of this new therapeutic approach may be warranted.

Purpose: Platinum-based drugs are the most active agents in cervical carcinoma. The aim of this study was to assess the activity and toxicity of the association of cisplatin and capecitabine as first-line treatment in patients with advanced, persistent, or recurrent carcinoma of the cervix.

Patients And Methods: Patients with histological proven primary carcinoma, presence of measurable tumors, age 18 years or older, performance status of 2 or less, and adequate bone marrow, renal, and hepatic functions were potentially eligible for this trial.

Nonleukemic granulocytic sarcoma of knee: a case report.

Granulocytic sarcoma (GS) is a rare extramedullary tumor composed of immature myeloid cells. It is usually associated with leukemia or other myeloproliferative disorders. It occurs very rarely without overt hematologic diseases.

Primary lymphoma of the prostate treated with rituximab-based chemotherapy: a case report and review of the literature.

Introduction: Primary lymphoma of the prostate is very rare. In this paper we present a case of early stage non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the prostate managed with six cycles of rituximab-based chemotherapy, and review the related literature.

Reduction in HER-2 protein expression in a breast tumor HER-2 positive after only one injection of Trastuzumab: a case report.

HER-2 is overexpressed in 20 to 30% of breast cancer. Generally, metastases of a breast tumor have the same HER-2 status, although some discordances were reported.We report a case of reduction in HER-2 expression assessed by immunohistochemistry, following one day of a Trastuzumab injection, of a metastatic breast cancer to lymph nodes.
