We previously performed modifier screening on the dFIG4 knockdown-induced rough eye phenotype and identified several genes, including CR18854, encoding a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) as genetic interactants with dFIG4. Purpose: To identify parameters associated with deterioration of patellofemoral (PF) cartilage after open-wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO) and determine predictive values. It was hypothesized that cartilage injuries in PF joints would progress after OWHTO in patients who need a large alignment correction.
Methods: Fifty-two knees in 47 patients who underwent bi-planer OWHTO for the treatment of medial compartment osteoarthritis from 2012 to 2017 and received a second-look arthroscopy at the time of plate removal (mean 14 months post-OWHTO) were assessed.
ARHGEF9, also known as Collybistin, a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for Rho family GTPases, is thought to play an essential role in the mammalian brain. In this study, we prepared a specific polyclonal antibody against ARHGEF9, anti-ARHGEF9, and carried out expression analyses with mouse tissues especially brain. Western blotting analyses demonstrated tissue-dependent expression profiles of ARHGEF9 in the young adult mouse, and strongly suggested a role during brain development.

The structure changes of vitamin E-blended UHMWPE before and after tensile strain were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and image correlation method.
