Nuclear chromatine of peripheral blood lymphocytes was studied in 13 women with children suffering from Down's syndrome using optic structural computer analysis. In 12 cases significant increase of nuclear roundness coefficient was determined. Deformation coefficient was determined for heterochromatine structures in 8 cases.

Elk placentomes were studied during different stages of pregnancy using morphometry and optico-structural computerised analysis. Histological sections and smears from the surface of placentome section were made for that. Placentome were obtained from animals subjected to legal shooting in hunting districts of Novosibirsk.

Chromatin structure of nuclei of histogenetically distinct cells of humans and animals under normal and pathological courses of gestation was studied by the method of optic-structural computer analysis. A constant ratio of compact and diffuse chromatin is detected in nuclei of cells originating from all the germ layers. This ratio can change to a variable degree in cases of pathological gestation.

Chromatin structure has been studied with a method of optico-structural machine analysis for interphase nuclei of peripheral blood lymphocytes in healthy donors, a girl with the Shereshevskiĭ-Turner syndrome (45, XO) and her parents, and for peripheral blood lymphocytes of a cow, Bos taurus L., in the last trimester on the background of preeclamptic syndrome and with normal cow pregnancy of compared terms. A significant change was revealed both in human heteroploidy and in developing preeclamptic syndrome in animals as concerns such indexes as the nucleus area, integral optical density, the amount and area of condensed, decondensed chromatin.

Presence of nuclei with tetraploid content of DNA in syncytiotrophoblast of the early chorion has been demonstrated. Before 8 weeks of pregnancy their content makes 31% and then it drops up to 26%. At this age certain severe changes are revealed in texture characteristics of the nucleus--asymmetry and kurtosis of chromatin distribution.
