Objective: To investigate the effects and mechanism of KeLuoXin (KLX) capsule on rat mesangial cell proliferation induced by high glucose.
Methods: Rat mesangial cells (HBZY-1) were cultured in vitro and stimulated with high glucose(30 mmol/L glucose) for different time after the treatment with or without KLX medicated serum extract, the proliferation was assessed by cell counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) and the phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) was detected by Western blot.
