A case of thoracic actinomycosis manifest as round shadow in the lung is described. Diagnosis was based on the presence of actinomycetes in a transthoracic lung biopsy sample. Treatment for 3 months resulted in recovery.

Review is devoted to the analysis of biological effects of microwaves. The results of last years' researches indicated the potential risks of long-term low-level microwaves exposure for human health. The analysis of metabolic changes in living cells under the exposure of microwaves from mobile communication systems indicates that this factor is stressful for cells.

[Physical training and health promotion and the problem of manpower management].

The possibilities of the "health structure" index application for estimation of the effectivity of physical culture and health improvement work are presented. It is shown that regular physical loadings provide the preservation of the high health level. In small activity mode of life and, especially, irregular physical training, the health level reduces and the disease probability increases.
