Results of the patients treatment, in whom biliodigestive anastomosis was performed for hepatopancreatobiliary zone cancer, were adduced. Among early complications hepatorenal insufficiency, septic-purulent and thrombohemorrhagic complications, postoperative pancreatitis, an acute purulent cholangitis had prevailed. The late complications were mainly presented by the biliary ducts cicatricial stricture, the jaundice and cholangitis recurrency.

Over the period 1998-2001 a total of 78 patients with III to IV stage carcinoma of the pancreas complicated by jaundice underwent symptomatic and palliative operations. In all patients, the diagnosis was verified histologically with the aid of intraoperative fine-needle biopsy, incision biopsy or in the postoperative period marked by appearance of metastases in the liver--by progressive rise in the CA19-9 marker level. In the postoperative period, immunochemotherapy with the drug amitosine was instituted.

In 16 patients with noninflammatory disease of pancreas, cancer, fibrosis of pancreas efficacy of application of epidural chemical denervation (ECD) was studied. In comparison with conventional medicinal anesthesia there was noted the lowering of necessity in analgetic preparations using morphine equivalent dosage by 75%. In such patients the ECD technology may be recommended as a component of palliative therapy.

The possibility to correct postoperative dysbacteriosis in patients, who had their operation been completed with external drainage of the common bile duct, was studied. Resulting from the use of Normaze preparation in combination with Bifidumbacterin adsorbed on SKN carbon sorbent, the composition of intestinal microflora has restored, bile structure improved.
