Article Synopsis
  • The study introduces IMplicit UNrolled NEtworks (IMUNNE) as a new training strategy for dynamic MRI reconstruction, addressing issues of long training times and high GPU memory usage.
  • IMUNNE frames the MRI reconstruction as an implicit fixed-point equation and uses a gradient approximation method, allowing it to work efficiently with deep learning models.
  • Results show that IMUNNE improves image quality and significantly decreases training and inference times compared to existing methods, making it a promising solution for efficient cine MRI imaging.

We measured serum levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in 25 elderly women in 23 men-patients with chronic brain ischemia (CBI), and in 26 gender and age matched healthy controls. The serum levels of BDNF were significantly lower in patients with CBI as compared to healthy controls. The serum levels of BDNF were also lower in men with CBI (7815,14 x 10 ng/ml) in comparison to women-patients (8466,05 x 10 ng/ml).

52 elderly women and 36 matched by age and education men with initiatory stages of chronic brain ischemia (CBI) have been studied using comparative analysis of personality characteristics. Women with CBI had higher level of psychosocial stress than men. The results demonstrate the predomination of extrapunitive frustration reactions among women.

The relapse of ischemia was detected in 127 patients in clinical series after coronary bypass surgery. It was noted in terms from 1 month till 204 months. The basic clinical manifestation or the relapse of ischemia was the recurrence of heart stroke in 74.

Literature data and results of our own research suggest that amplitude of periodic modulations of heart rate may be related to the cerebral cortex activity. Verification of this assumption was accomplished by searching for correlation between the heart rate periodogram (as a measure of amplitude of periodic modulations of heart rate at different frequencies), and electroencephalographic evaluation of the level of different cortical areas activation. Positive association between levels of activation of the frontal cortex and amplitude of heart rate modulation with the period of 3 modulations per heart rate interval was discovered.

52 elderly women and 36 matched by age and education men with initiatory stages of chronic brain ischemia (CBI) have been studied using comparative investigation of neuropsychological and neuroimaging findings. The results revealed that the clock-drawing test was made by men with CBI better than by women that surpassed men by the indicators of attention and memory. The magnetic resonance imaging has shown that elderly men with CBI were characterized by more severe degree of hydrocephalus in comparison with women that surpassed men by the average rate of periventricular leucoaraiosis.

Earlier we discovered that heart rate variability was associated with the level of intelligence. The purpose of this study is to confirm this association using more reliable method and to define more precisely the frequency band within which the amplitude of the heart rate modulations is related to intelligence. 13 males (aged 14 to 17) were the study subjects.

Authors examined 17 adolescents, aged 15-17 years, during the manifestation of slow-progressive schizophrenia. The possibility of the correction of affective disorders, on the basis of involuntary self-regulation using bioacoustics correction (BAC), was studied. BAC method is based on on computed EEG transformation into acoustic signals.

The objective of this work was to analyse the efficiency of adaptive training with electromyographic biological feedback in the early period after reconstruction of fingers depending on the character of wrist defects, the method of their correction, and etiology of the injury. Unique techniques were proposed for the training. Their effectiveness was evaluated based on clinical observations, results of electromyographic and biomechanical studies that demonstrated a significant increase of EMG amplitudes for different groups of wrist and forearm muscles during basic thumb movements (p = 0.

72 elderly women and 48 matched by age and education men with initiatory stages of dyscirculatory encephalopathy (DE) have been studied using comparative analysis of clinical, cognitive and sonographic characteristics. The results demonstrate the predomination of cognitive impairment and fine motor coordination disorders among men with DE. Psychovegetative and statolocomotor disorders prevailed in women-patients.

Investigation into the functional activity of the acoustic and visual analyzer has been carried out before and after procedures of listening to one's own EEG of the temporal and occipital cortex areas. It has been shown, that there is a dependence of the dynamics of latent periods of sensomotor response to modality of stimuli and localization of source of the EEG acoustic image. After listening to acoustic image of the temporal EEG, a reduction of sensomotor reaction latency in the acoustic test has been observed.

Dynamics of physiological and psychological characteristics of healthy volunteers (adolescents and adults), speech professionals (logopedics), and stutter patients (adolescents and adults) in process of adoptive self-regulation with biofeedback on objective physiologic indicator - changes of respiratory arrhythmia of hart rate were investigated. High level of efficacy and practicability of the method application was revealed to study, diagnostics, optimization and correction of breathing, speech and behavior.

Complex examination of 311 patients with chronic gastritis allows to differentiate three clinical types of this disease. The first type is characterized by superficial mucous disorders with constant or increased secretory function and motility of the stomach. It has relapsing course with moderate decrease of patient's life quality.

Season-, sex- and nationality-specific changes in immunity and tuberculin sensitivity were investigated in children and adolescents living in a rural Bashkortostan region. As shown by the trial including 1880 subjects, primary infection occurred more frequently in spring and least frequently in summer both in Russian and Bashkir examinees, but the Bashkirs exhibited an earlier turn of the tuberculin tests, a more active response to Mantoux test. The evidence obtained suggests the existence of higher tuberculosis risk for Bashkirs.

The author's investigations demonstrate that children with somatic diseases registered for follow-up in pediatric outpatient departments should be referred to risk groups by tuberculosis. Special attention should be paid to children with a combination of gastrointestinal lesions with respiratory diseases. Phthisiologic risk in children with cardiovascular, skin affections and collagenoses is close to such in healthy subjects.

A total of 455 women, both pregnant and nonpregnant ones, permanently living in zones I and II of ionizing irradiation, were examined in 13 months after the Chernobyl Power Plant accident. Monocyte phagocytic activity and humoral immunity parameters were under study. An imbalance of the immunity parameters were characteristic of all the examinees living in zone I: they presented with disordered phagocytic activity of the monocytes, elevated levels of circulating R proteins, reduced production of natural and specific antibodies, changed concentrations of the principal immunoglobulin classes.

The paper is devoted to the non-drug functional treatment of children with elbow joint damages by the use of portable self-contained device, based on the principle of electromagnetic feedback. It is demonstrated that sending of artificial feedback signals (light, sound) at the moment of arbitrary contraction of the muscles being trained during 8-10 treatment procedures ensures restoration of muscular-articular sense, strength, endurance of weakened muscle groups, normalizes volume of motion in the elbow joint.
