Hind limb ischemia mice were used as in vivo angiogenesis model.
Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a chronic liver disease which may progress into liver fibrosis and cancer. Since NASH patients have a high prevalence of atherosclerosis and ensuing cardiovascular diseases, simultaneous management of NASH and atherosclerosis is required. Currently, rodents are the most common animal models for NASH and accompanying liver fibrosis, but there are great differences in lipoprotein profiles between rodents and humans, which makes it difficult to reproduce the pathology of NASH patients with atherosclerosis.

Perovskites based on CsPbX (X = Cl, Br, I) have promising applications in solar cells, light-emitting diodes, and photodetectors. In this paper, the phase stability of inorganic metal halide perovskite CsPbCl under hydrostatic pressure and anion substitution is studied using density functional theory (DFT), and this modification is explained by the interaction of the octahedrons and transformation of the bond-orbital coupling. In addition, two space groups, 4/ and 2, which are stable under stress, are subjected to anion substitution; then, the structural stability and band gap change of CsPbClX (X = Br, I; = 0, 1, 2, 3) are analyzed after applying stress; finally, the electronic structures and optical properties of the six most stable components are presented.

Case Report: A 35-year-old, gravida 2, para 1, woman underwent amniocentesis at 17 weeks of gestation because of advanced maternal age. Amniocentesis revealed a karyotype of 45,X [8]/46,XY [15].
Background: The mosaic forms and clinical phenotypes of fetuses with isochromosome Y are difficult to predict. Therefore, we summarized the cases of nine fetuses with isochromosome Y identified in prenatal diagnosis with a combination of molecular cytogenetic techniques, providing clinical evidence for prenatal genetic counseling.
Methods: The prenatal diagnosis and pregnancy outcomes of nine fetuses with isochromosome Y were obtained by a retrospective analysis.

Objectives: To explore the tongue movement patterns on Mandarin speaking children with repaired cleft palate with lateralized and palatalized misarticulation (LPM) using ultrasound imaging technique.
Methods: A group of 20 subjects who were diagnosed with speech sound disorder after cleft palate repairment, and another group of 18 children with LPM were recruited. A group of 20 typical children were recruited as the control group.
Federated learning (FL) is a method used for training artificial intelligence models with data from multiple sources while maintaining data anonymity, thus removing many barriers to data sharing. Here we used data from 20 institutes across the globe to train a FL model, called EXAM (electronic medical record (EMR) chest X-ray AI model), that predicts the future oxygen requirements of symptomatic patients with COVID-19 using inputs of vital signs, laboratory data and chest X-rays. Purpose: To study the in vitro effect of vitamin D3 on the healing response of human Tenon's fibroblasts (HTF) and its possible role in preventing excessive postoperative subconjunctival fibrosis.
Methods: Effect of vitamin D3 on cytotoxicity and cell survival of primary cultured HTF was measured by lactate dehydrogenase and PrestoBlue assays, respectively. Proliferation and migration of vitamin D3-treated HTF (D3-HTF) was determined by CyQUANT proliferation and scratch assay, respectively.

Methods: Mutation carriers (n = 310) and noncarriers (n = 201) underwent neuroimaging, including gradient echo MRI sequences to detect CMHs, and neuropsychological and clinical assessments. Cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses evaluated relationships between CMHs and neuroimaging and clinical markers of disease.
