This work utilized first-principles calculations and the CALYPSO structure search technique to systematically investigate the crystal structure stability of CsI compounds under high pressures ranging from 0 to 500 GPa. Several new phases with both conventional and unconventional stoichiometries were predicted. Interestingly, we discovered a counter-intuitive phenomenon where Cs-I compounds decompose into Cs and I elemental solids under pressure.

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a chronic liver disease which may progress into liver fibrosis and cancer. Since NASH patients have a high prevalence of atherosclerosis and ensuing cardiovascular diseases, simultaneous management of NASH and atherosclerosis is required. Currently, rodents are the most common animal models for NASH and accompanying liver fibrosis, but there are great differences in lipoprotein profiles between rodents and humans, which makes it difficult to reproduce the pathology of NASH patients with atherosclerosis.

Perovskites based on CsPbX (X = Cl, Br, I) have promising applications in solar cells, light-emitting diodes, and photodetectors. In this paper, the phase stability of inorganic metal halide perovskite CsPbCl under hydrostatic pressure and anion substitution is studied using density functional theory (DFT), and this modification is explained by the interaction of the octahedrons and transformation of the bond-orbital coupling. In addition, two space groups, 4/ and 2, which are stable under stress, are subjected to anion substitution; then, the structural stability and band gap change of CsPbClX (X = Br, I; = 0, 1, 2, 3) are analyzed after applying stress; finally, the electronic structures and optical properties of the six most stable components are presented.

Objective: We present detection of mosaicism for 46,X,i(Y) (q10) in the blood lymphocytes in a phenotypically normal male neonate with prenatally detected 45,X/46, XY at amniocentesis and cytogenetic discrepancy in various tissues.

Case Report: A 35-year-old, gravida 2, para 1, woman underwent amniocentesis at 17 weeks of gestation because of advanced maternal age. Amniocentesis revealed a karyotype of 45,X [8]/46,XY [15].

Federated learning (FL) is a method used for training artificial intelligence models with data from multiple sources while maintaining data anonymity, thus removing many barriers to data sharing. Here we used data from 20 institutes across the globe to train a FL model, called EXAM (electronic medical record (EMR) chest X-ray AI model), that predicts the future oxygen requirements of symptomatic patients with COVID-19 using inputs of vital signs, laboratory data and chest X-rays. Methods: Mutation carriers (n = 310) and noncarriers (n = 201) underwent neuroimaging, including gradient echo MRI sequences to detect CMHs, and neuropsychological and clinical assessments. Cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses evaluated relationships between CMHs and neuroimaging and clinical markers of disease.
